Coco Gauff’s mom, Candi, took to social media to highlight her son Codey’s ascent in baseball.
The proud mom posted a couple of posts highlighting Codey’s performance at the 2025 17U Ultimate Baseball Championship – East, where his squad secured a 5-2 victory.
Coco Gauff’s Brother Codey Maps His Own Course While Sister Dominates Tennis
While Coco has become popular globally with her Grand Slam triumph, Codey, the middle child of the sporting family, is taking a different path. A talented baseball player, he played high school ball with the Elite Squad Academy.
He signed late in 2024 to play NCAA Division I baseball with the University of Missouri beginning in the 2026 season. The youngest Gauff brother, Cameron, is meanwhile advancing with football.
Codey participated in the 17U Ultimate Baseball Championship – East on June 17, playing for the East Coast Sox 2026 National team. Codey’s team beat his old team, Elite Squad National 2026, with a score of 5-2. His effort did not go unnoticed by his mom, who shared some tweets praising his performance on her Instagram Stories.

Gauff Opens Up About the Powerful Role Her Younger Brothers Play in Her Life
Gauff recently spoke about the strong role that her younger brothers, Codey and Cameron, play in her life, attributing their existence to keeping her grounded amidst the pressures of professional tennis. Speaking in a recent interview with Vogue, the American tennis star explained how her brothers have helped keep her firm.
“My brothers Codey and Cameron are definitely my biggest support, and they always root for me. And humble me,” Gauff said.
She playfully observed that her siblings treat her the same if she wins or loses, remaining refreshing in their consistency of attitude towards her.
“When I do well, they’re still going to make fun of me. And when I do bad, they’re still going to make fun of me,” she said.
“Sometimes, when you’re competing, you feel like you’re putting your whole life into whatever match you’re playing and that the odds are life or death, that’s what’s on the line. But obviously, it’s not. Having people like them around makes you feel that pressure less.”
Gauff will begin her 2025 grass-court season at the Berlin Tennis Open, June 16-22. Last year’s semifinalist returns as the second seed with a first-round bye and will play Wang Xinyu in the second round.
