Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula booked their place in the semifinals of the new-look US Open mixed doubles after beating Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz 4-2, 4-2 in a quick-fire match.

The event features a shorter format as part of the tournament’s fresh take on mixed doubles, with a $1 million prize for the eventual winners. Even though Pegula had the home crowd behind her, most of the cheers inside Arthur Ashe Stadium went to Raducanu and Alcaraz. The young stars didn’t advance, but their energy and chemistry won over the New York crowd in a lively, party-like atmosphere.

After their campaign ended, Raducanu shared glimpses of her time on court alongside Alcaraz. The post included various pictures of them sharing laughs, handshakes, and hugs as they played against the dominant duo of Pegula and Draper.
