On the first day of the 2025 Laver Cup, Team Europe showcased a strong performance, winning three out of four matches and taking a 3-1 lead in the tournament. However, on the second day, Team World made a stunning comeback, winning all four rubbers and scoring eight points to pull ahead with a 9-3 lead.
On the third and final day, Team Europe and Team World each secured two victories, with Team World ultimately extending their lead to 15 points and winning the Laver Cup.
Following Team World’s victory, their celebrations were broadcast widely. In recently released footage from the Laver Cup, Alcaraz was seen turning off the television in Team Europe’s dressing room to avoid watching the celebrations.

Last year, at the Laver Cup, Team Europe triumphed over Team World 13-11. During that edition, Alcaraz participated in four matches, two singles and two doubles, winning both of his singles matches and losing only one of his doubles rubbers.
Following the conclusion of his campaign at the 2025 Laver Cup, Alcaraz will begin his run on the Asian swing on the Tour at the 2025 Japan Open. The tournament will take place at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo from September 24 to September 30, 2025, marking the first time the Spaniard will compete in this event.
