Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu Will Team Up at US Open 2025
Earlier this month, the pairings for the new mixed doubles tournament at the US Open were released, with Carlos Alcaraz teaming up with Emma Raducanu. When asked about this at a press conference during the Queen’s Club Championships, Alcaraz said that he requested the Brit to team up with him at the New York Major.
“Yeah. I mean, the tournament told us about the tournament, the mixed tournament. I was thinking that I couldn’t play better if it wasn’t with Emma. I just asked Emma if she wants to play doubles with me. Yeah, I made that special request,” Alcaraz said.
If the 21-year-old wins his Wimbledon opener, he will take on either Leandro Reidi or Oliver Tarvet in the second round. As for Emma Raducanu, she will take on either 32nd seed McCartney Kessler or 2023 champion Markéta Vondroušová if she wins her first-round match at the grass-court Major.
