Shelton and Rodman began dating in early 2025 and made their relationship public through social media posts. Despite their busy schedules, they often share fun glimpses of their relationship online. While Rodman juggles her commitments in the National Women’s Soccer League with the Washington Spirit, Shelton spends much of his time competing on the ATP Tour.
The latest moment came just as Shelton was competing in Turin at the 2025 ATP Finals, marking his debut appearance at the prestigious year-end event. After a breakout season that propelled him into the world’s top five, Shelton was drawn into the Björn Borg group alongside Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, and Félix Auger-Aliassime.
In his opening match, the 23-year-old fell to third seed Zverev 6-3, 7-6(6) in a 93-minute battle, placing him under early pressure in the round-robin stage. Despite the loss, a lighthearted moment from before the match stole Rodman’s heart. TennisTV shared a clip showing Shelton breaking into a grin as a player escort performed an impromptu dance near his bench.

Rodman reshared the video on her Instagram Stories, playfully captioning it, “POV: me trying to get Ben to do a TikTok w me 😂😂.”
She also jumped into the comments section of the original post, adding, “He’s been waiting his whole life for this 😭😂.”
As Shelton geared up for the final tournament of the season, his girlfriend Rodman took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message celebrating his dedication and progress throughout the year.
Rodman Backs Shelton Ahead of His ATP Finals Debut
Rodman expressed her admiration for Shelton’s rise in the ATP rankings, writing, “What a year… #6 in the world. You’ve worked so hard. Through challenges and setbacks, you’ve continued to shine. You prove the doubters wrong and amaze me every day.”
She also described watching his progress as “the most rewarding thing to see,” before adding another heartfelt message ahead of the ATP Finals: “Last tournament of the season and it’s the finals! You’re one of a kind. I love you. One more push, and then I get you all offseason.”
Looking ahead, Shelton will take on eighth seed Auger-Aliassime in the second round-robin match. This will be their second meeting on the ATP Tour, with the Canadian winning their only match in straight sets at the 2024 Roland Garros in the third round. The American will then take on defending champion Sinner in the last round-robin match.
