Aryna Sabalenka got engaged to her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, earlier this month. The World No. 1, who is currently competing in California at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, was recently seen embracing the spirit of her upcoming wedding with Frangulis during a training session at the tournament.
Sabalenka and Frangulis have been together for nearly two years, first appearing publicly during the 2024 Madrid Open. Frangulis, a Brazilian entrepreneur of Greek heritage, is the founder of Oakberry, a global superfoods brand specializing in açaĂ.

Sabalenka is the top seed at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, and she began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She won her opening match against qualifier Himeno Sakatsume with a score of 6-4, 6-2. Sabalenka then eliminated Jaqueline Cristian, winning 6-4, 6-1 in the third round.
The four-time singles Grand Slam champion advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 hard court tournament in California by defeating 16th seed Naomi Osaka with a scoreline of 6-2, 6-4 in the fourth round.
Ahead of her quarterfinal match at Tennis Paradise, Sabalenka was spotted during a training session wearing a bridal veil and posing with a bouquet while her fiancé Frangulis adoringly looked on. In one photo, the entrepreneur was also seen with the veil on his head.

Looking ahead, Sabalenka is set to face Victoria Mboko in the quarterfinals of the 2026 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. The Canadian, seeded 10th, began her campaign in the second round after receiving a bye in the first round.
Mboko defeated Kimberly Birrell 6-4, 7-6(5) in her opening match, then triumphed over 23rd seed Anna Kalinskaya with a score of 6-4, 6-1 in the third round. She secured her place in the quarterfinals against Sabalenka by eliminating sixth seed Amanda Anisimova, winning 6-4, 6-1 in the fourth round.
Sabalenka and Mboko have met only once on the WTA Tour, in the fourth round of the 2026 Australian Open, where the four-time singles Grand Slam champion secured a 6-1, 7-6(7) win. She went on to reach the final and finished as the runner-up after losing to Elena Rybakina.
The winner of the quarterfinal match between Sabalenka and Mboko at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells will advance to face either 14th seed Linda Nosková or qualifier Talia Gibson in the semifinals of the tournament.
