Amanda Anisimova vs Emma Navarro Preview

Eighth seed Amanda Anisimova and third seed Emma Navarro will square off in an all-American quarterfinal at the Queen’s Club Championships. The winner will take on either top seed Zheng Qinwen or Emma Raducanu in the semifinals of the grass-court tournament.

Anisimova has won 21 out of 31 matches so far this season, winning her maiden WTA 1000 title at the Qatar Open. The American entered the Queen’s Club Championships after a fourth-round exit at the French Open, and started her run with a hard-fought 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Jodie Burrage. She then thrashed Sonay Kartal 6-1, 6-3 to book her place in the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 event.

Emma Navarro has won 18 out of 31 matches so far in the 2025 season, winning the Merida Open while reaching the semifinals of the Charleston Open. The World No. 10 had a disappointing outing at the French Open, as she was thrashed 0-6, 1-6 by Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in the opening round.

Navarro received a bye to the second round of the Queen’s Club Championships by virtue of being one of the top four seeds and faced Beatriz Haddad Maia in the second round. The 24-year-old found herself a set down, but she saved a match point and produced a remarkable comeback to win 1-6, 7-6(4), 6-3 and book her place in the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 tournament.

Amanda Anisimova vs Emma Navarro Head-to-Head

Anisimova won all three of her prior encounters against Navarro, with the most recent one  of them coming in the quarterfinals of the Charleston Open a few months back.

Amanda Anisimova vs Emma Navarro Prediction

Anisimova will enter the match as the favorite to win due to her superior head-to-head record and her relatively better run of form in 2025. That said, Navarro at her best is more  than capable of giving her compatriot a run for her money.

Anisimova has won 62 out of 88 points on her first serve so far during the Queen’s Club Championships, serving 13 aces. However, she has also served 11 double faults. The 23-year-old never shies away from playingg her shots but also has a high rally tolerance. Her movement will also come in handy.

Emma Navarro’s first-serve numbers against Beatriz Haddad Maia were far from impressive, as she won only 42 out of 77 points on it. The 24-year-old will have to be considerably better on her serves, as she will be up against someone who is a very good returner. Navarro’s persistence will no doubt be put to test by Anisimova, so she will have to bring in her A game if she is to come out on top.

While the World No. 10 is not someone to be written off, Anisimova’s current run of form should see her beat her compatriot for the fourth time and reach the semifinals of the Queen’s Club Championships.

Prediction: Anisimova to win in straight sets.
