Amanda Anisimova Gets Scared as She Enjoys Fun Saudi Adventure Ahead of WTA Finals Debut

Amanda Anisimova enjoyed a jeep safari through the Saudi Arabian desert before her WTA Finals debut against Elena Rybakina on Saturday.

Amanda Anisimova took a Safari tour of the Saudi Arabian desert on Wednesday, October 29, ahead of the WTA Finals in Riyadh. The American will debut at the elite tournament later this week, having solidified her place in the women’s top five rankings over the last few months.

Having started her 2025 season well outside the top 30 WTA rankings, Anisimova made the finals at Wimbledon and the US Open. She secured titles at the Qatar Open and the China Open to secure her career-high singles ranking of fourth in the world. As a result, the 24-year-old will make her debut at the year-end championships.

Amanda Anisimova Enjoys ‘Not So Casual’ Jeep Adventure on Saudi Arabian Desert Dunes

Ahead of her WTA Finals campaign, Anisimova let her hair down by taking an adventurous jeep ride up and down the dunes of the Arabian Desert. The World No. 4 donned black athleisure wear and a white shirt, which she paired with a black cap and shades. She enjoyed her few days of rest before her group-stage opener against Elena Rybakina on Saturday, November 1.

The four-time singles champion was accompanied by some of her friends during the fun trip, as seen in one of her Instagram stories with a fitting caption: “Casual.” The American’s subsequent story saw her embark on some undaunted fun as she got on a jeep for a fast drive across the desert dunes. She was visibly scared, though, gripping onto the jeep for safety during the Safari tour.
“Not so casual,” Anisimova wrote in the caption of her Instagram stories on Wednesday.
