Amanda Anisimova will lock horns with Linda Nosková in the China Open final, with both players booking their place in the title clash with wins over Americans in the semifinals. While Anisimova saw off Coco Gauff 6-1, 6-2, Nosková edged out Jessica Pegula 6-3, 1-6, 7-6(6).
The World No. 4 has carried on her impressive run of form following her US Open final defeat, beating Katie Boulter, Zhang Shuai, 13th seed Karolína Muchová, and sixth seed Jasmine Paolini before her comprehensive win over Gauff. 26th seed Nosková has enjoyed a dream run in Beijing, defeating Wang Xiyu, seventh seed Zheng Qinwen, Anastasia Potapova, and Sonay Kartal before getting her second win over Pegula in 2025.

Anisimova vs. Nosková Head-to-Head
Anisimova and Nosková have had two encounters so far on the WTA Tour, with their head-to-head currently tied at 1-1. The Czech won the first meeting between the two in Indian Wells back in 2023 but the American came out on top in their most recent fixture during the fourth round of Wimbledon.
Anisimova vs. Nosková Prediction
Anisimova will enter the match as the favorite to win given her impressive run of form since the start of the US Open. However, Nosková will take a lot of confidence from her victory over Pegula after digging deep in the final set.
Anisimova has won 166 out of 233 points on her first serve so far in Beijing, serving 16 aces and amassing 14 double faults. The 24-year-old has been hitting quite cleanly lately and will look to put pressure on her opponent from the very first point. The World No. 4 has already lost two finals and will be more determined than ever to get past the finish line this time around.

Nosková’s first-serve numbers have not been particularly impressive either, as she won 144 out of 208 points on it. The 20-year-old served 11 aces in her semifinal against Pegula and will look to fetch as many free points as she can against someone with Anisimova’s current form.
Nosková has already beaten the American once before and their most recent encounter went to three sets. So, there is a good chance of the Czech putting up a strong fight.
However, given the way Anisimova has been performing after taking a couple of weeks off following her US Open triumph, there is a good chance of her winning her second WTA 1000 title of the year.
Prediction: Anisimova to win in straight sets.
