Amanda Anisimova’s run at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells came to an end in the fourth round when she was defeated by Canadian tennis star Victoria Mboko. Following this heartbreaking loss at Tennis Paradise, Anisimova has arrived in Florida for the 2026 Miami Open.
At the WTA 1000 hard court tournament in California, Anisimova was seeded sixth and began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. In her opening match, she defeated Anna Blinkova with a score of 5-7, 6-1, 6-0. In the third round, she triumphed over 25th seed Emma Raducanu, winning 6-1, 6-1, before falling to 10th-seeded Mboko in the fourth round with a score of 4-6, 1-6.
Amanda Anisimova Reaches Florida, Starts Training at Hard Rock Stadium Ahead of Miami Open 2026
The 2026 Miami Open is set to take place from March 17 to March 29, 2026. The matches of the tournament will be held on the outdoor hard courts at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Anisimova is seeded sixth at the WTA 1000 hard court tournament in Florida, and she will commence her campaign in the second round following a first-round bye. In addition to the former World No. 3, players such as Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Jasmine Paolini, Belinda Bencic, Elina Svitolina, Naomi Osaka, defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, and former champion Iga ÅšwiÄ…tek are also expected to participate in Miami.
Recently, Anisimova took to social media and revealed that she has arrived in Florida for the Miami Open. She posted a video showing the view from the stands inside Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens and also shared a photo of herself with her team on one of the courts at the stadium.

The first time Anisimova competed at the Miami Open was in 2017. She was granted a Wild Card entry into the main draw and lost in the first round to qualifier Taylor Townsend with a scoreline of 6-2, 2-6, 3-6.
The former World No. 3 recorded her best result at the WTA 1000 hard court tournament in Florida in 2025. She was seeded 17th and began her campaign in the second round after a first-round bye. She won her opening match against Mayar Sherif with a score of 6-2, 6-2 and then eliminated 11th seed Mirra Andreeva by winning 7-6(5), 2-6, 6-3 in the third round before losing 1-6, 3-6 to Emma Raducanu in the fourth round.
