Alexandra Eala is set to make her tournament debut at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. Ahead of the WTA 1000 tournament, the Filipina was seen wearing eye-catching pink athleisure from Nike and Kim Kardashian’s Skims collaborative collection.
Eala signed a sponsorship deal with Nike in 2019 and has been wearing the brand’s outfits and shoes in tournaments ever since. During the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, Nike personalized her ensemble with a hair tie featuring the sampaguita flower, the national flower of the Philippines.

In Feb. 2025, Nike announced the launch of a new collaborative sub-brand with Kardashian’s Skims called NikeSkims, revealing plans to expand into new markets, retail locations, and wholesale by 2026. Skims has previously collaborated with the NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball and even partnered with Team USA for the Olympics.
Recently, Eala took to social media and shared several pictures of herself dressed in pink NikeSkims apparel at Tennis Paradise. In her caption, she included the iconic quote, “On Wednesdays we wear pink” from the movie “Mean Girls.”
“On Wednesdays we wear pink 🩰 @skims @nikewomen #nikeskimspartner,” Eala captioned her Instagram post.

A Look Into Eala’s First Match at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells
Eala is seeded 31st at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open and will begin her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She will face Dayana Yastremska in her opening match.
Leading up to the WTA 1000 hard-court tournament in California, Yastremska competed in the 2026 Mérida Open but lost in the first round to wild card Marina Stakusic with a score of 4-6, 3-6. At Tennis Paradise, Yastremska secured her spot in the second round against Eala by defeating Zhang Shuai with a scoreline of 6-3, 6-2 in the first round.
Eala and Yastremska have met only once on the WTA Tour before, in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Eastbourne Open, where the World No. 52 won with a score of 6-1, 6-2. Eala then advanced to the final, finishing as the runner-up to Maya Joint.
The winner of the second-round match between Eala and Yastremska at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open will move on to face either fourth seed Coco Gauff or qualifier Kamilla Rakhimova in the third round of the tournament.
