Zverev vs. Kecmanović Head-to-Head
Zverev leads the head-to-head between the two players 2-1. Their last meeting came nearly three years ago at the Chengdu Open, with the German coming out on top 5-7, 7-5, 6-2. Zverev also won when they met in Paris in 2020, but Kecmanović triumphed in their first meeting on the tour in 2019.

With his overall record for the season now at 4-6, Kecmanović will hope to spring an upset against Zverev to get his season on track. The Serb started his campaign in Mexico with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Tristan Schoolkate.

Zverev will be the clear favorite to win this one. But his poor recent results in Mexico, combined with the fact that we have already seen so many surprises at the ATP 500 event, means the upset watch will certainly be on.
Kecmanović started his season slowly. But he seemed to find his form in the United States. Whether the 26-year-old can translate that to a surprise win over Zverev remains to be seen.
But he is strong at defense and excels at extending rallies. Kecmanović also converted 4 of his 6 break point opportunities in the first round, and will have to deliver a similarly strong performance if he is to win on Wednesday.
If Zverev can maintain his consistency and avoid lapses in concentration, he will likely get the job done. But if he is off his game, Kecmanović could be well placed to take advantage.
