1. Emma Raducanu vs Markéta Vondroušová

Britain’s Emma Raducanu will face former Wimbledon champion Markéta Vondroušová in one of the toughest second-round draws she could get. Raducanu secured this spot after a straight‑sets win over compatriot Mimi Xu. But Vondroušová is in red-hot form, coming off a Berlin Open title and a perfect start at Wimbledon. She’s won her last six matches by dropping just two sets overall.

The two opponents have split recent encounters with Raducanu’s only win against the Czech player coming in 2021, while Vondroušová have won twice in straight sets.

2. Jesnson Brooksby vs Joao Fonesca

Unseeded American Jesnson Brooksby (No.101) is set to take on Brazilian João Fonseca (No.54), who is making his debut at the grass court major. Brooksby stunned 30th seed Tallon Griekspoor in straight sets and has come to Wimbledon after a strong clay‑court season.

Fonseca, on the other hand, is living the dream of his first Wimbledom and said every detail of the club is “just perfect”. Predictive models give him about a 65% edge, with his aggressive style might catch Brooksby off guard. Can Brooksby’s consistency break through against a confident debutant?

3.Frances Tiafoe vs Cameron Norrie

America’s Frances Tiafoe (No.12) will face Britain’s Cameron Norrie (No.61) in a highly anticipated clash. They have faced each other three times before, with Tiafoe leading 2-1 in the head-to-head record. However, the upcoming showdown will mark their first-ever meeting on grass.

Simulation models favor Tiafoe at about 58–61% to win. With Norrie’s solid serve and home-court comfort versus Tiafoe’s power and confidence, this is set to be a tight, swinging match.

4. Taylor Fritz vs Gabriel Diallo

World No.5 Taylor Fritz earned a dramatic comeback win in Round 1 to set up a second-round match against Canadian Gabriel Diallo. Fritz has been dominant on grass this season (18‑3 record since last June, which also includes titles in Stuttgart and Eastbourne).

Diallo, on the other hand, is no joke either. He comes with a 28‑18 overall in 2025 and a strong 9‑2 mark on grass. Fritz enters as the firm favorite as his all‑around game could outgun Diallo’s aggressive style on the flatter surface. But Diallo’s confidence on grass could lead to an upset if Fritz slips.

5.Naomi Osaka vs Katerina Siniakova

Two-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka (No. 53) faces Czech qualifier Katerina Siniaková (No. 81) in a true underdog clash. Odds favor Osaka by about 54% according to Dimers simulations.

Previous records show just one past meeting between them with Siniaková leading the line while no prior showdowns against each other on grass. Osaka has been steady here, winning in straight sets in Round 1, while Siniaková holds a massive 10 major titles in women’s doubles. While fans can expect a tightly contested match, Osaka’s power likely gives her the edge.

6.Carlos Alcaraz vs Oliver Tarvet

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz had to work hard in his first match to secure the victory against Fabio Fognini in a tough five setter. Oliver Tarvet, on the other hand, made his way into the second round after four notable wins (three qualifiers & one main draw).

The upcoming match marks a massive stage for the 20-year-old, but Alcaraz’s athleticism and grass-court experience should be too much. Still, the Centre Court atmosphere will make it a match to remember for Tarvet.

7.Maria Sakkari vs Elena Rybakina

Maria Sakkari overcame a shaky first round with a gritty three-set win over Anna Blinkova and now faces the 2022 champion Elena Rybakina. The Kazakh player comes in with a dominant first round win over Elina Avanesyan.

Rybakina currently leads their head-to-head with a convincing 4-1 record and has the grass-court pedigree to go deep again. Sakkari’s speed and athleticism could make this interesting, but she will need to raise her level to stop Rybakina from dictating with her flat, heavy hitting.

8.Novak Djokovic vs Dan Evans

Djokovic had a slow start to the ongoing major event with a hard fought win in four sets against Alexandre Muller. The seven-time champion is still searching for his best form after elbow issues earlier this year but still remains tough-to-beat on grass.

Dan Evans battled through five sets in his opener, and will now have home support behind him while being backed by his slices and net approaches. Even so, Djokovic’s movement and ability to absorb pace should keep him in control if he plays close to his top level.
