Shelton enjoys a very special bond with his sister, Emma, who has been a strong supporter of the American in his tennis career. During his Wimbledon campaign, Shelton’s sister flew all the way to London to support him, and the American called him his “lucky charm” in one of his post-match interviews.
During his stay in Atlanta over the week, Shelton surprised his sister by buying her a new car as a symbol of love and appreciation.
5) Ben Shelton Wins At the Atlanta Cup
On court, it was an excellent night for Ben Shelton at the Atlanta Cup. The American won his match against Nick Kyrgios 7-6, 6-3. Later in the night, the American partnered with world No.1 Sabalenka, and the pair won their mixed doubles match against the pair of Nick Kyrgios and Osaka.
Shelton will have a formidable challenger at the beginning of next year as the American gears up to defend many points from his semifinal run at the 2025 Australian Open.
