‘My Lucky Charm’ — Ben Shelton Gives Adorable Shoutout to Girlfriend Trinity Rodman and Sister Emma After Wimbledon 3R Win

Ben Shelton reached the Round of 16 at Wimbledon 2025 after his third-round victory over Marton Fucsovics. After celebrating his win on the grass court, the 22-year-old gave a heartfelt shoutout to his loved ones during the post-match interview.

Shelton beat Fucsovics 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-2, marking another solid performance for the American. He became the youngest man from his country to reach three Major fourth-round appearances in a year since Andy Roddick in 2004.

Ben Shelton’s Sweet Words After His Match Against Marton Fucsovics

During his on-court interview, Shelton said: “It’s not just been me here, I have a great team. My parents are here, my girlfriend’s here. Also, my sister’s here. She’s been here for every match that I’ve played at this tournament so far. She’s been the lucky charm, but, she has work back in the US starting on Monday.”

Shelton had a special request to everyone watching, as he said: “She works for Morgan Stanley, so if any of y’all have some connects and get her a couple of extra days off so she can keep this rolling, that’d be great.”

Shelton’s campaign so far has shown his growing confidence on grass courts. He has won 9 sets out of 9 played at this year’s Wimbledon.

Shelton’s family has been a constant presence throughout his run at the tournament. His sister Emma, 23, works as a virtual engagement associate at Morgan Stanley after graduating with a business degree from the University of Florida.

Emma played college tennis like her brother, representing both South Carolina and Florida. She often supports Ben from the stands and celebrates his victories on social media.

His girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, the 22-year-old soccer star and daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman, has also been spotted cheering from the stands.

The couple went public with their relationship in March 2025. Rodman has been active on social media supporting Shelton’s Wimbledon campaign.

Ben Shelton’s Recent Form and Wimbledon Performance

Shelton enters Wimbledon 2025 as the World No. 10, having achieved his career-high ranking just before the tournament.

The 2025 season has been a breakthrough year for the American. He reached the semifinals of the Australian Open, his second Grand Slam semifinal after the 2023 US Open. He, however, lost to eventual champion Jannik Sinner in straight sets.

Despite some inconsistent results during the clay season, where he struggled at Masters 1000 events, Shelton bounced back on grass.

For a place in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, the American faces Lorenzo Sonego on Monday.
