The Cincinnati Bengals will face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, especially regarding WR Tee Higgins.
Is Tee Higgins Playing in Week 10?
As of Wednesday morning, the odds were against Higgins playing against the Ravens.
By the afternoon, the Bengals officially released their final injury report with more bad news for the wide receiver. Higgins did not practice again on Thursday and was officially declared doubtful for the key, primetime divisional battle.
The 25-year-old receiver was listed as a non-participant in Tuesday’s practice. His absence came a day after Bengals head coach Zac Taylor offered a vague answer to a question about the statuses of Higgins and running back Chase Brown (rib injury).
“We’ll see,” Taylor told reporters. “We are limited with our field work, but both those guys have the right attitude about it. Step one is they both want to do it, and now we’ll put them through everything we can in the next couple of days to see where they can help us.”
WR Tee Higgins was listed as a non-participant in tonight’s practice.
He was in tennis shoes (sneakers, for those who don’t say tennis shoes).
However, he was wearing a practice jersey, and tossing around a bit.#Bengals @WCPO pic.twitter.com/wEk4RWEQLk

With a doubtful designation, it’s hard to envision Higgins playing Thursday night without practicing all week. It would be a pivotal loss for a Bengals team that sits at 4-5 and needs to start stacking wins in order to keep its playoff path alive.

Should You Start or Sit Tee Higgins in Week 10?
Tee Higgins didn’t practice last week (quad) and needs to be monitored closely, though the Thursday night kickoff is helpful for fantasy managers. With the bye coming (Week 12), I’d lean toward Cincinnati being cautious with the star receiver. Yet, at 4-5, do the Bengals have that luxury (next three games: Ravens, Chargers, and Steelers)?
Higgins matched Ja’Marr Chase’s two scores and saw a game-high 14 targets (nine catches for 83 yards) in the first meeting this season with the Ravens, his second straight, multi-score game against the division rival.
Normally, I’d give you the “if the Bengals start Higgins, you start Higgins” tagline, and while that is how I’m generally approaching this situation with the Ravens ranking as the fourth-worst EPA defense against receivers, I’m nervous that his quad injury could create a low floor.

PFN Insight on the Ravens’ Defense
The Baltimore Ravens’ defense has briefly flashed upside this year, but there has been no rhyme or reason as to why they have come outside of outlier results. Week 9 was just the second time that the Ravens have been inside the top 15 in a single week this season (Week 3 vs. Buffalo). Outside of that, it has not made for pretty reading.
The Ravens’ main success defensively has been against the run, but they have struggled against the pass. A large part of that has been an inability to generate consistent pressure without committing extra men to the pass rush. Additionally, the Ravens have also ranked 30th in third-down conversion rate this year, but their ability to stiffen in the red zone (15th) has meant it has not shown up as much as it could have.
