Even though future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce just signed a contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs, he is not the only one in his life winning.
During the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Taylor Swift won the award for Pop Album of the Year for her album “The Life of a Showgirl.” During her acceptance speech, she made sure to mention her fiancé, Kelce.

Taylor Swift thanks Travis Kelce as she accepts the award for Best Pop Album at the #iHeartAwards2026:

“I think that this album probably also feels very happy and confident and free because that’s the way that I get to feel every single day of my life because of my fiancé, who’s here tonight.”
Swift did not just win one award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards; she also won Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Pop Song of the Year, Best Lyrics, Best Music Video, and Favorite Tour Style. Overall, she won seven of her nine nominations.
Additionally, the album was the biggest-selling global release of 2025, following its Oct. 3, 2025, release. Across physical, digital, and streaming, it sold over 4 million album-equivalent units in its first week, making it the fastest-selling album in history.
The story of Swift and Kelce dates back to July 2023, when Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour. However, it was not until September 2023 that she broke into the NFL world with a surprise appearance at a Chiefs game, where she sat alongside Donna Kelce in the tight end’s suite.
In August 2025, it was announced that Swift and Kelce were engaged. It is also rumored that the two will marry in the middle of June before the 2026 NFL season.
Coming into the offseason, there was a lot of uncertainty about the future of Kelce’s playing career, especially with Patrick Mahomes’ ACL injury. However, earlier this week, Kelce signed a contract extension to remain with the Kansas City Chiefs through 2028.
