Not only were NFL fans shocked when Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift announced their engagement, but the entire world was left in awe. One of the best tight ends of all time manifested his destiny to get with one of the songwriters of all time, and the rest is history. Now, Kelce and Swift look forward to their wedding, one that could feature an appearance from the one and only Ed Sheeran.
Taylor Swift Opens Up on Ed Sheeran Possibly Performing At Her Wedding With Travis Kelce
Upon the release of her new album, “Life of a Showgirl,” Swift had to fulfill a ton of media obligations. One of those was an appearance on Hits Radio, where one of the three co-hosts mentioned a potential Sheeran wedding appearance. Swift was quick to respond, offering tons of insight into her friendship and bond with the 34-year-old.
“I mean it would be hard to keep him [Sheeran] from it, I think. That’s the thing is he’s like, ‘I’m always being asked to sing at weddings.’ It’s like Ed, if there’s a stage, you know that you’ll be on it,” Swift said. “He knows what people want, and he wants to give people what they want.”
She continued, “That’s the fun thing about our friendship is that we both love performing and we love writing and singing. It’s like ‘don’t make me sing’, but then it’s like alright! You know what I mean? That’s the thing, we love what we do, we love to get up on stage. It’s actually not that hard to talk either of us into performing, at anything.”
Swift then spoke about when both the music icons appeared together. “I saw him last weekend actually at a wedding, one of our best friends, and we were talking about when he came on stage with me at Wembley during the Era’s Tour.”
She continued, “We were talking about when we’re in a room and like we’re rehearsing or writing or working together, there’s really a sort of strange mind-melt thing that happens between us two. We’ve always had it and we always will.”
Currently, no date or location has been revealed for Kelce and Swift’s wedding. Swift has yet to announce another tour, as it’s going to be hard for anything to top The Era’s Tour. With the release of her new album, there’s tons of potential for her to release a new slew of dates. That said, the wedding will have to work around not just her schedule, but Kelce’s NFL obligations as well.
