Will Patriots Star Stefon Diggs Play in Super Bowl 60 vs. Seahawks?

In the final week before Super Bowl 60, TMZ reported that Diggs is being sued in connection with an incident involving his Ferrari and an alleged assault months later. According to the civil lawsuit, a man who says he previously worked for Diggs claims he was asked in July 2024 to arrange for Diggs’ Ferrari to be transported from Miami to New York and then to Houston.

The suit states that the car was later stolen in Houston and that law enforcement concluded it was taken by third parties in a sophisticated theft.

The plaintiff alleges that, despite this, Diggs began telling people in their shared circles that the man had stolen the car. He says he was never arrested or charged in connection with the Ferrari and claims that the alleged statements damaged his concierge and consulting business.

The filing also asserts that people close to Diggs confronted him in restaurants in Houston and Miami and even came to his home, demanding he return gifts previously given by the wideout.

Court documents cited by TMZ say that in Jan. 2025, Diggs texted the man that he was “responsible and accountable for all actions of those around me.” The lawsuit further alleges that in Dec. 2025, the plaintiff was assaulted at Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami by two men in Diggs’ circle, suffering multiple injuries, including a torn ACL.

He also claims former Dallas Cowboys defensive back Trevon Diggs, Stefon’s brother, witnessed the incident and did not intervene. The suit accuses Stefon of defamation, civil conspiracy, and vicarious liability for the alleged attack and names Trevon and others as defendants. TMZ notes it reached out to Stefon for comment and had not received a response at the time of publication.

On the field, Diggs arrives at Super Bowl 60 as one of New England’s primary offensive weapons. Diggs had 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and 4 touchdowns this season. He was a key playmaker for blossoming quarterback Drake Maye and ranked fourth in PFSN’s NFL WR Impact Metric with a score of 87.0. And even though he’s never played in the NFL’s ultimate game, he won’t be overwhelmed by the stage.

“I’ve been in the league a long time,” Diggs said during the Super Bowl’s Opening Night. “As far as the corners, I’ve seen some of the best corners in the game, Hall of Fame corners, Patrick Peterson, Richard Sherman, all those guys.

“I took a lot of lumps earlier in my career, so understanding what I’ve seen, I come with a little bit of experience, I guess, to kind of show out in the game.”

Diggs, now in his 11th NFL season after previous stops with Minnesota, Buffalo, and Houston, is making his Super Bowl debut with New England, where he quickly became a security blanket for Maye in a season that ended with a trip to Santa Clara.

Across league and local coverage cited in the reference material, there has been no reporting that the newly filed civil lawsuit has changed Diggs’ team status in the buildup to Super Bowl 60.
