Despite an injury-plagued season with the Houston Texans that snapped his streak of six consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns in 2024, Stefon Diggs’ value never dipped on the open market.
The veteran wide receiver quickly landed a lucrative free-agent deal with the New England Patriots, and has since reminded the league exactly why he remains one of football’s elite pass-catchers.
Diggs has rediscovered his rhythm in New England, emerging once again as a game-changing presence and posting the seventh 1,000-yard receiving season of his career.
Stefon Diggs’ Contract and Salary
Diggs signed a three-year deal worth $63.5 million with the Patriots that includes $22.6 million in guaranteed money.
He earned a base salary of $2.9 million, a signing bonus of $12 million, and a workout bonus of $200,000 this season while carrying a cap hit of $8.7 million. His base salary for the 2026 and 2027 seasons will be $20.6 million each.
Last season, Diggs was on a one-year, $22.52 million deal with the Texans after being traded from the Buffalo Bills. That contract was a restructured portion of the four-year, $96 million extension he originally signed with the Bills in 2022.
Prior to suffering an ACL injury in Houston, Diggs was productive in limited action, recording 47 receptions for 496 yards and three touchdowns in eight games. While that season ended his six-year streak of 1,000-yard campaigns, he quickly regained that form in New England.
Catching passes from sophomore quarterback Drake Maye, Diggs has played all 17 games and leads the Patriots in both receptions and receiving yards.
He hauled in 85 of 102 targets for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns, playing a pivotal role in the team’s 14-win season.
According to PFSN’s WR Impact metric, he is the fourth-ranked receiver in the league this season. Diggs has an impact score (WRi) of 87.0 and is graded B+.
Diggs’ Net Worth and Career Earnings
Diggs has an estimated net worth of $60 million, made up of salary, endorsements, and sponsorships. Forbes estimates that Diggs has earned $2.5 million in endorsements and has sponsorships from Activision, Dick’s Sporting Goods, EA, Nike, Old Spice, and Verizon, among others. By the end of the 2025 season, Diggs will have made $155,871,681 in career earnings.
Diggs was drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings and is in his 11th year in the league.
He earned a four-year, $2.5 million deal as a rookie from the Vikings and signed a five-year extension worth $72 million in 2018. However, after spending five years in Minnesota, Diggs was traded to Buffalo in Mar. 2020, where he spent the remaining four years of his extension.
He later signed a four-year, $96 million contract extension with the Bills in April 2022 before being traded for a second-round selection to the Texans in 2024.
Now on his fourth NFL team, Diggs has thrived in New England alongside Maye and once again proven he remains among the league’s most productive and dynamic receivers. With the Patriots emerging as one of the Super Bowl favorites, Diggs will be looking to elevate his play even further when it matters most.
