Broadcast Team for Steelers–Texans on MNF

The Steelers enter the matchup with a 10-7 record and are set to clash with the Texans, who finished the regular season at 12-5. This will mark the first postseason meeting between the two teams, making the clash even more special.

While the Texans enjoyed a strong regular season, their recent history on Monday Night Football hasn’t been that great. They previously appeared twice on MNF, in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks, and suffered losses in both games.

The Texans will now appear on MNF for the third time this season, and it remains to be seen whether the outcome will be different or if the Houston fans face yet another disappointment on Monday.

The game is expected to be full of thrilling action, with ESPN’s broadcast team featuring Troy Aikman and Joe Buck on the call in the booth. While Laura Rutledge and Lisa Salters will handle sideline reporting duties.

Steelers vs. Texans Preview

The Steelers are set to host the Texans this Monday during Wild Card Weekend on Jan. 12 at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Fans can tune in to ESPN for MNF, with the game also airing on it’s sister, ABC at 8:15 p.m. ET.

The Texans enter the matchup with an impressive nine-game winning streak, but defeating the Steelers at home will be anything but easy. Pittsburgh is also coming in with confidence after a 26-24 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18.

These two teams have faced each other only eight times since the Texans joined the NFL as an expansion franchise in 2002, with the Steelers holding a 5-3 advantage. The last meeting came in 2023, when Houston handed Pittsburgh a convincing 30-6 loss.

The Texans, ranked second in PFSN’s Defense Impact metric, boast one of the league’s top defensive units. However, Pittsburgh’s offense, led by the experienced 42-year-old Aaron Rodgers, could keep the game close with a quick passing attack and potentially push the franchise toward its first postseason win since 2017.

As the Texans and Steelers prepare for their first-ever postseason matchup, it will be interesting to see which team emerges victorious and advances to the Divisional Round.
