After moving on from running back Najee Harris in the 2025 offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers turned to former Oklahoma State RB Jaylen Warren to be the team’s lead back for the 2025 season.
It has not been a one-for-one replacement as Warren has taken some time to find his footing in the Steelers’ backfield. However, during Pittsburgh’s Week 10 Sunday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, Warren showed off his athleticism with a jaw-dropping hurdle in the second half.
Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Warren Wows With Impressive Hurdle
Warren has been a solid presence for the Steelers in 2025, rushing for 404 yards and two touchdowns on 99 carries through seven games in the 2025 season. While his yardage total wasn’t the greatest against the Indianapolis Colts a week ago, Warren did score two touchdowns during the Steelers’ impressive 27-20 win over the Colts.
Through two and a half quarters on Sunday Night Football in Week 10, Warren has rushed for 50 yards on ten carries. However, during the Steelers’ first drive of the second half, Warren wowed fans with an incredible hurdle over Chargers cornerback Cam Hart.

The move even had NBC commentators Mike Tirico and Chris Collinsworth speechless as Warren completely cleared Hart, hurdling the defensive back and avoiding any contact. The hurdle looked even more impressive when the broadcast replayed the slow-motion footage, which further showed that even with Hart coming up to make the tackle, Warren had plenty of clearance to bypass the defensive back without any contact.

In seven games, Warren has turned 99 carries into 404 yards and two touchdowns while hauling in 21 of 24 targets for an additional 193 yards and a touchdown. PFSN’s RB Impact metric has him as the 17th-ranked running back in the league this season.
When it comes to the Week 10 Sunday Night game, Warren has really been the only player who’s done much of anything for the offense, as the passing game has struggled mightily.
Unfortunately, his limited success has not done much to help the Steelers, who face a 15-3 deficit in the third quarter. While not impossible to overcome, the offense has struggled to get going against the Chargers. Will Warren be able to find the gaps necessary to fuel a Steelers’ comeback, or will the rough night continue as the Steelers struggle to find their footing offensively against Los Angeles?
