Kylian Mbappe Set for Over $65 Million Payday As Former Club PSG Ordered To Pay Massive Unpaid Wages

Kylian Mbappe is set to receive $65 million plus holiday payments from PSG after emerging victorious in a legal battle, as per a report.

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe was heavily linked with a transfer away from his former club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for over two years before leaving in 2024. Now, the French international is reportedly set to receive over $65 million from PSG.

But why will the Ligue 1 champions pay Mbappe such an exorbitant amount?

Real Madrid’s Mbappe Wins Legal Case Against PSG

According to reliable journalist Ben Jacobs, Mbappe has emerged victorious in a legal battle with PSG over a salary dispute. He is now set to be paid $65 million plus holiday payments by the Ligue 1 outfit, who did not pay the star three months of salary and bonuses between April 2024 and June 2024.

PSG, who were recently ordered by a Paris labour court, will pay Mbappe the figure despite believing that the Real Madrid star had previously waived the amount. After taking Mbappe to court out of principle, they are now in acceptance of the fact that they have to pay under the technicalities of French labour law.

Before joining Los Blancos in accordance with the Bosman ruling, Mbappe helped PSG lift a total of 15 trophies during a seven-year-long stint. He also registered 256 goals and 110 assists in 308 overall appearances for the Parc des Princes team.

Meanwhile, Mbappe has been continuing his fine run of form for Real Madrid of late. He has scored a staggering 26 goals in just 22 outings across all competitions for his club in the 2025-26 season, providing four assists to his teammates as well.

Real Madrid Boss Opens Up on Mbappe’s Availability

With two matches left to play for Real Madrid in 2025, Mbappe’s hope of making history for his club is slowly diminishing. He has scored 56 goals for the La Liga side in 2025. He could still equal Cristiano Ronaldo’s tally of 59, set in 2013.

However, Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has clarified that he is not thinking about Mbappe ahead of a Copa del Rey encounter against Talavera this Wednesday, Dec. 17.

When asked if he would play the French striker to help him surpass Ronaldo’s record, Alonso replied (via FotMob), “Not at all, it hasn’t been discussed. That topic hasn’t come up. We’ve always thought about the match and the best decisions to field the best team for each match.”

Even if Mbappe does not feature against Talavera this week, he could still finish his year by playing in Real Madrid’s La Liga home clash against Sevilla on Saturday, Dec. 20.
