Fast and Furious Actor Tyrese Gibson Sparks Rumors by Teasing Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘Welcome’ to $7 Billion Franchise

Hollywood actor Tyrese Gibson has teased that Cristiano Ronaldo has joined the cast of the 11th installment of the Fast and Furious franchise.

Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the most popular figures in the world of sports, thanks to his exceptional achievements on the soccer pitch. And now, he could also have his first foray into the world of Hollywood as suggested by American actor Tyrese Gibson.

But what has Gibson claimed about the Portugal and Al-Nassr attacker?

Ronaldo Receives Public Welcome From Fast and Furious Actor

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, Gibson shared a photo of Ronaldo posing with the likes of Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, and Jason Statham, all of whom are in the Fast and Furious franchise. He even teased that Ronaldo has joined the cast of Fast X: Part 2, the 11th installment.

Gibson wrote as a caption on his post on X: “Welcome to the FAMILY! @Cristiano the GLOBAL DANCE JUST WENT INTO NEW HEIGHTS!!!!!!”

Interestingly, Gibson is not the first actor to tease Ronaldo’s acting debut, as Diesel claimed last week that he could have had a potential working relationship with the Portugal captain.

“Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you, he is a real one. We wrote a role for him in Los Bandoleros… @cristiano,” Diesel wrote on Instagram.

However, with the upcoming Fast and Furious film set to release in 2027, Ronaldo’s chances of featuring in the movie are unlikely. He is currently involved in Al-Nassr’s 2025-26 campaign, preparing himself for next summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup, and could face time constraints.

Ronaldo Should Not Be in GOAT Conversation, Claims Pundit

Former Manchester City forward Bradley Wright-Phillips has suggested that Ronaldo should not be considered as one of the greatest players of all time. He has stated that Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi could be labelled as one owing to his all-round ability.

When asked if Manchester City forward Erling Haaland can be considered as one of the best players in the world, Wright-Phillips replied on talkSPORT, “No, you can’t be the best player in the world just being a goalscorer, no.”

Wright-Phillips was promptly asked during his recent chat whether Ronaldo should also not be deemed the best player in the world. He was unabashed in his response.

“Ronaldo? CR7? No, no, come on. Are you one of those people that thinks Ronaldo is better than Messi? For me, it’s always the eye test. I think to be the best player in the world, it’s got to look like Messi, it’s got to look like (Zinedine) Zidane, there’s got to be something else there,” Wright-Phillips said.

Ronaldo, 40, has netted 11 times in 12 total matches for Al-Nassr so far this campaign.
