Fans Upbeat After USMNT 2026 FIFA World Cup Jerseys Leak
On Wednesday, Jan. 7, the Mauricio Pochettino-coached national team’s new jerseys leaked online with the home jersey featuring stripes in red on a white base. The home kit also has blue on its collar, cuffs, Nike logo, and USMNT crest. The latest USMNT away kit features an all-black theme with just the Nike logo and national team crest in white.
Sharing the images of the leaked jerseys, one USMNT fan claimed that the Nike kit will look brilliant on Christian Pulisic when he lifts the elusive FIFA World Cup trophy this July. He wrote on X: “The USMNT 2026 World Cup home and away jerseys. I love it, I don’t want to get ahead of myself but I think it will look good when we have Pulisic lifting the trophy.”
Another supporter backed the aforementioned fan’s outlook and likened Pulisic to American basketball great LeBron James. He commented on X: “Perfect look for the LeBron James of soccer.”
One USMNT fan suggested that the rumored jerseys remind him of a recent home kit of La Liga club Atletico Madrid. He posted on X: “Reminds me of a recent Atletico Madrid jersey but with a USA crest and horizontal stripes that resemble a waving flag.”

The USMNT, set to participate in its 11th FIFA World Cup, will face Australia, Paraguay, and one of the following teams: Turkey, Slovakia, Romania, or Kosovo in Group D of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It is the best-ranked Group D side (14) and has a great chance of qualifying for the knockouts.
Pochettino’s team achieved its best FIFA World Cup finish in the inaugural 1930 edition, when it came third in Uruguay. The USMNT was eliminated in the last-16 stage of the 2022 event.
