Will Cristiano Ronaldo Return to Man United? Former Red Devils Star Gives His Take Amid Former’s Issues at Saudi Arabia

Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Manchester United? His former teammate has made a bold prediction about the Portuguese star’s future.

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly plotting an exit from Al-Nassr, and talks over his next club are in full flow. Fans, pundits, and now his former teammates are also chiming in with their views.

Back to Manchester United? Cristiano Ronaldo’s Ex-Teammate Gives His Take

Ronaldo is currently on strike against the Al-Nassr owners and refused to play in the Saudi Pro League game against Al Riyadh earlier this week. Al-Nassr take on Al Ittihad later this week, a day after his 41st birthday.

While the Portuguese superstar has been training, it is unclear whether he will play in the match. Speculation has started about his future at the club, and one former teammate has shared his thoughts on where the forward could head this summer.

Wes Brown was speaking to Betting Lounge this week when he was asked if Ronaldo could be heading back to Manchester United for a third spell. He was quick to dismiss the possibility of a return to Old Trafford, as he cannot see him making his way back after burning bridges in November 2022.

The former defender believes that a move to Major League Soccer could be on the cards. However, if the Portuguese superstar is looking for a return to a former club, Sporting CP was his former teammate’s pick. He said:

“He’s not happy, but would Cristiano Ronaldo come back to Manchester United for a third go? I would say no. I can’t see how that could happen. A move to MLS? Maybe. Maybe he goes back to Portugal and plays there. I’m sure he will still have so many options.”

Brown added that Ronaldo’s main focus will be the FIFA World Cup later this year. He is confident that the strike will end soon, as the former Real Madrid superstar needs to maintain his fitness, saying:

“The main thing is that he still wants to play in the World Cup, and he would have to keep playing and making sure he keeps himself fit to do that. It’s a shock to everyone to see Ronaldo on strike, but I honestly think it will get resolved. We’ll have to wait and see where it goes from here.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed he will play at the FIFA World Cup this summer. He played a key role in the qualifiers and is looking forward to what is expected to be his final edition.
