Shedeur Sanders Shares Spotlight With NFL Legend

Ahead of the Pro Bowl Games, Sanders was spotted practicing and sharing laughter with AFC flag football coach Steve Young. The Hall of Fame quarterback, a 49ers legend, spent the 1994 season alongside Deion Sanders, forming a bond that has lasted decades and now extends to the next generation.

Sanders has been under constant scrutiny throughout the season, a reality that comes with being Deion’s son, but he has handled the attention with poise. Speaking during his first-ever Pro Bowl interview, the young quarterback embraced the moment.

“It’s truly amazing, truly exciting,” he said. “…From the first time I got to Cleveland, to knowing that this was going to be at the end of it, it’s just surreal.

“There’s a lot of great players and great people here… I have a great feel at this level, so I know what to expect… I just gotta get out there and look at everybody kind of like they are on the same level, and just get out there and go to work. I think that’s all it is, just a mental thing.”

This year’s NFL Pro Bowl Games will take place in San Francisco at the Moscone Center on Tuesday, February 3. The Pro Bowl Games, part of Super Bowl Week festivities, will feature a flag football game between NFC and AFC players, with Sanders representing the AFC.

According to the PFSN NFL QB Impact Metrics, which were measured throughout the regular season, Sanders finished with an impact score of 56.9 and graded out at an F. He threw for 1,400 yards, seven touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

After the season, the Browns fired Kevin Stefanski and recently named Todd Monken as the team’s new head coach. While Sanders is far from securing a guaranteed starting role for the 2026 season, momentum appears to be building, and the Pro Bowl provides one more opportunity to strengthen his case.
