And just like that, the Seattle Seahawks’ excellent season has come to an end. After trading for QB Sam Darnold, hiring OC Klint Kubiak, and second-year HC Mike Macdonald improving, Seattle had the perfect situation to compete. The Seahawks ended the season 14-3 and at the top of the NFC West, but now, the focus is on the offseason.
Upcoming Seattle Seahawks Free Agents
With the success they had this season, the Seahawks will do everything in their power to repeat next season and, hopefully, win a Super Bowl. There are a couple of roadblocks that may stop that from happening: Kubiak and the upcoming free agents.
This coaching cycle, the Seahawks OC has been a popular name among openings around the league. In the end, it seems Kubiak is on his way to Las Vegas.
Regarding the free agents, the Seahawks have a long list of players out of contract and potentially leaving.

Top Seahawks Free Agents
When looking at the entire list, a few names stand out. Starting with Walker, he has been an excellent RB since being drafted to Seattle, and this playoff run showed how great he can be.
The issue with him has been injuries, which he has dealt with for most of his young career. Seattle may want to pivot and find a new option, but another factor is that backup RB Zach Charbonett, who would take over as the starter, suffered an ACL injury in the Seahawks’ first playoff game this year. This could be a lengthy recovery.

Next is a player the Seahawks traded for at this year’s deadline: Shaheed. In the offense, Shaheed’s role has been smaller than during his time with the New Orleans Saints, but as a kick returner, he has been a major factor in the Seahawks’ wins. Will that be enough to bring him back?
Last, but not least, is Woolen. This season, the Seahawks’ defense is ranked third overall in the PFSN NFL Defensive Impact Metrics, and Woolen has been a big part of that. He had a bit of a slow start to the season, but he really found his role in the defense, and with HC Macdonald being a defensive-focused coach, bringing back Woolen may be a priority this offseason.
