After two weeks of waiting, Super Bowl 60 is finally here: a heavyweight match-up between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots at 6:30 p.m. EST on NBC.
Ahead of the big game, Katie Hoofnagle and Ann Michael Maye, the significant others of Sam Darnold and Drake Maye, had the following to say.
How Are Katie Hoofnagle and Ann Michael Maye Looking to Settle Their “Beef”?
Ahead of the Super Bowl, it’s very common for brands to partner with athletes, but DoorDash took it a step further by partnering with Hoofnagle and Ann Michael.
On Instagram, Ann Michael posted a video saying the following:
“The biggest weekend of the year is here, and I’m ready to settle the beef once and for all. About who has the better food scene, of course. New Englanders know we always have iced coffee no matter what. But come on, our coffee dunks on theirs. This lobster roll is perfect, buttery, and fresh. Seattle could never. Boston baked goods, anyone? Anyway, good luck on Sunday!”
Hoofnagle posted a similar message, saying the following:
“The biggest weekend of the year is here, and I’m ready to settle the beef once and for all. I heard people think there’s a better food scene out there, but no one does it better than Seattle. I mean, our city is known for coffee for a reason. Seattle knows coffee better than anyone, and we don’t need to have it iced like some cities.
“And seafood? Seattle literally has it all. But that’s because we care about quality. And this is ramen. It’s warm, it’s comforting, it’s kind of like clam chowder. It’s just better. And our beef? Gameday ready. Best coffee. Best food. Best fans.”
Despite the rivalry, the ads do a good job at promoting the different yet similar types of foods you can get in Seattle versus New England.
How Sam Darnold and Drake Maye Compare
In PFSN’s NFL Quarterback Impact Metric, QBi assigns a numerical score and a letter grade to an individual quarterback’s performance. This season, Maye finished in second place with an impact score of 91.1 and a letter grade of A-. Comparatively, Darnold finished 13th with an impact score of 78.7 and a letter grade of C+.

Despite the higher QBi score in the regular season, Darnold has been outplaying Maye in the playoffs. In three games, Maye has completed 55.8% of passes for 533 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.
Additionally, he’s added 141 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. However, Maye has fumbled 6 times in the 2025 playoffs and recovered only half of them.
In two postseason games, Darnold has completed 69.8% of passes for 470 yards and 4 touchdowns, with no interceptions. Darnold also fumbled once in the playoffs, but it was recovered by the Seahawks.
