The New Orleans Saints are making a conscious effort to make their offense a threat to opposing defenses. They haven’t quite been the threat to opponents in a while, and under head coach Kellen Moore, the Saints have a solid wide receiver room heading into 2026. Take a look at the receiver room in New Orleans after they picked Jordyn Tyson with the No. 8 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Saints WR Depth Chart with New Addition Jordyn Tyson
The Saints’ receiver room took a major hit after they traded away Rashid Shaheed to the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks. They made quite a few moves to reshape their room during the 2025 season, and the addition of Tyson will add a new layer to the squad in 2026.
Chris Olave
Olave had his best season as an NFL receiver in 2025. He tallied 100 receptions, the first time he’s hit triple digits, and a career-high in receiving yards with 1,163 yards. He also found the end zone nine times, which was one touchdown less than his career total from the three seasons prior. He was the 24th-ranked receiver in the league according to PFSN’s WR Impact Metric. He will be glad to have Tyson join him in 2026.
Jordyn Tyson
Tyson is going to be the clear WR2 in New Orleans. They needed a receiver to pair with Olave, and they went with the most talented playmaker on the board. Tyson’s injury concerns could be an issue after his production fell off a cliff in the middle of October due to injury issues. But when he is healthy, he and Olave will be a handful for opposing defenses to handle.
Devaughn Vele
Vele was acquired from the Broncos ahead of the 2025 season. He wasn’t a key contributor for the New Orleans offense with just 25 catches. The Saints’ offense wasn’t very good, but it should be better with another wide receiver to give defenses something to step up. They will need Vele to play a role next season to help out the offense’s depth.
Mason Tipton
Tipton was far from an active contributor in the New Orleans offense in 2025. With under 100 yards, it would be hard to expect a major jump from Tipton.

Kevin Austin Jr.
Austin found himself a role at the end of the season when the Saints’ offense started to figure something out. With multiple catches in the final four games of the season, Austin is an interesting receiver who could play a role for the Saints.
Bub Means
Means did not appear in any games in the 2025 season after suffering a season-ending injury in preseason
Ja’Lynn Polk
Polk was a second-round pick for the Patriots in 2024 and did not live up to his hype. He went to New Orleans, but didn’t record any stats after a season-ending injury. He could be a breakout candidate for New Orleans with his second-round pedigree.
