Winning the Super Bowl is the primary goal for every team and player in the NFL each season. Anyone fortunate enough to call themselves a Super Bowl champion understands the amount of work required; that is why it cannot be taken lightly. One player who holds that distinction is quarterback Russell Wilson.
He won the Super Bowl in 2013 with the Seattle Seahawks, yet that is not the only ring in his life. He married Ciara in 2016, and both rings carry significant meaning for him in different ways. Wilson was asked which ring means the most to him, and his response may surprise many.
Russell Wilson Answers Ciara’s Super Bowl vs. Wedding Ring Question
Wilson and Ciara joined “Hot Ones,” a show in which guests eat hot chicken wings while answering questions.
This episode was a versus format in which the two faced off, and whoever did not answer a question had to take a bite of a wing. The one question that challenged Wilson was which ring meant more to him.
He responded by saying, “Ya’ll f**ked up for this.” He then ate the wing without answering.

The Super Bowl Wilson won came in his first appearance in the championship game, when the Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8. Seattle returned to the Super Bowl the following season but fell short when Wilson threw an interception at the goal line against the New England Patriots.
Wilson has not returned to the Super Bowl since, and it is unlikely he will again as a starting quarterback. This past season, he served as the New York Giants’ backup and is set to enter unrestricted free agency in the coming weeks.
Wilson’s Future in Limbo
There is no guarantee Wilson will be signed by a team this offseason; however, he will likely have an opportunity to serve as a backup next season. Wilson started three games this past season, including one in which he threw for 450 yards and three touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys.

Entering his age-38 season, Wilson likely recognizes the end is near. Still, if he continues to enjoy playing, he may pursue another opportunity and attempt to compete for a starting job in 2026.
