Giants Predicted As Landing Spot for ‘Explosive’ Pro Bowl TE: ‘One of the Jewels of Free Agency’

Once the highest-selected TE, a player is coming off a season that felt like a long-delayed introduction and is predicted to be selected by the Giants.

There’s something quietly poetic about the timing of Kyle Pitts’ resurgence. Just as the Atlanta Falcons find themselves with new leadership, limited cap space, and a roster full of hard choices, their most enigmatic weapon has reminded the league exactly who he is. Or maybe, who he was always supposed to be.

Giants Predicted to Land Free Agent Kyle Pitts

Pitts, once the highest-selected tight end in NFL history in the 2021 draft, is coming off a season that felt less like a comeback and more like a long-delayed introduction. And now, as Atlanta debates whether it can afford to keep him, one NFC team is being floated as a potential new home, a place where Pitts’ story might turn another page.

ESPN analyst Benjamin Solak recently projected the New York Giants as a landing spot for Pitts, framing the tight end as a valuable athlete available this spring. “No. 2, I have Kyle Pitts to the Giants,” Solak said on “Up & Adams Show.”

He added, “Pitts, I’m really excited to see where he goes. He had such a good season in 2025. He’s fully back from the knee. He’s explosive, he catches. I love Kyle Pitts, I’m sorry. I think … he’s still only 25. He came to the league so young. I think he’s going to be one of the jewels of free agency.”

It’s hard to argue with the sentiment. Pitts’ 2025 campaign was the second-best of his career statistically, with 88 receptions for 928 yards and five touchdowns. More importantly, he stayed on the field for all 17 games. 58% of his catches went for first downs, a number that speaks to his role as more than just a highlight-reel threat.

This was Pitts as a stabiliser and a player who looked comfortable in his own skin again. He has a score of 82.7 on the PFSN NFL TE Impact metric with a B- grade and an eighth rank. He was a Pro-Bowler in 2021, his rookie season.

The Falcons currently project to have around $27.7 million in cap space, according to spotrac.com. If the Falcons hesitate, the Giants could be waiting. New York has spent the past few seasons searching for reliable offensive building blocks at tight end.

While Theo Johnson and Daniel Bellinger provide depth, neither brings Pitts’ rare blend of size, speed, and mismatch potential. For a young offense in need of a focal point, someone who can tilt coverage and open space, Pitts makes sense in a way that feels almost obvious.
