The Green Bay Packers have been underwhelming, to say the least, through 10 weeks of the 2025 NFL season. Projected as a Super Bowl contender even before the Micah Parsons trade, their performance through the first nine games has left a lot to be desired.
Whether it was demoralizing losses to the Cleveland Browns and the Carolina Panthers or leaving with a tie against the Dallas Cowboys, they remain an unpredictable squad through Week 10. With their skill position group ravaged by injuries, fans are hoping to get some reinforcements in Week 11, particularly this year’s standout, Romeo Doubs.
Will Romeo Doubs Play Against the Giants?
The defense, which had been trending upwards all of last season, has been as good as advertised with the addition of Parsons. However, it’s the offense that remains a question mark, particularly with the lack of proven weapons on the roster.
Jordan Love, in his third year as a starter, hasn’t shown the ability to be an ultimate rallying force for his troops. And that was on full display in Week 10, when against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, they could manage just seven points.
But it isn’t entirely on Love. Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks, and Tucker Kraft have all missed time this season. Among those absences, Doubs has emerged as a bright spot for the franchise.
Ranked 31st on PFSN’s WR Impact, far and away his best mark since joining the team as a fourth-round pick in 2022, he has tallied 35 receptions, 446 receiving yards, and four touchdowns on the year. However, he had to exit the game against the Eagles with a chest injury.
While initially listed as questionable to return, he ultimately didn’t come back as the Packers lost two consecutive games for the first time all year. After the game, even head coach Matt LaFleur sounded unsure about Doubs’ situation.
“I don’t have a ton of information right now. I just know that he was ruled out.” It’s unclear how Doubs will progress this week. But his absence could thin their pass-catching group, with Reed, Kraft, and Golden already out.
After losing two in a row, the playoffs are hanging in the balance for the Packers. Against a frisky Giants squad that is going to have a new head coach on the sidelines, the game could turn into a complicated affair for a Green Bay squad that has constantly overlooked mediocre opponents.
