The Tennessee Titans are currently in a fire sale of their players as the NFL Trade Deadline approaches on Tuesday. The Baltimore Ravens took advantage of the situation and bolstered their defense.
With this new addition, the Ravens hope to play even better as the 2025 NFL season progresses.

Which Titans Player Was Traded To Ravens?
On Monday, the Ravens acquired edge rusher Dre’Mont Jones from Tennessee in a deal for a conditional fifth-rounder that could possibly become a fourth-rounder.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport posted about the trade in a new post on X.

The Ravens want to shore up their defense, while the Titans are likely to consider wholesale changes at this time. Jones has 35 career sacks to his name in 99 games. Based on PFSN’s Defense Impact metric, Baltimore currently has the 28th-ranked defense in the league.
Before joining the Titans this season, Jones played for the Detroit Lions for four seasons and two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. Jones’ best sack seasons were in 2020 and 2022 with the Lions, where he totaled 6.5 sacks each.

In his NFL career, Jones has played as a defensive tackle, defensive end, and outside linebacker. The Ravens hope that Jones can fill a need in their defense right now. Baltimore got starting quarterback Lamar Jackson back in Week 9 after he was out due to injury.
The Titans are 1-8 and are on their second head coach. Brian Callahan was fired after starting 1-5, and interim head coach Mike McCoy took over. So far, McCoy is not doing any better as Tennessee has lost all three games in his tenure.
Baltimore is currently 3-5 on the season, and the Ravens need all the help they can get to push back into the NFL postseason picture. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is probably hopeful that Jones can give the Ravens’ defense an extra push as a pass rusher. He’s proven time and again that he can get to NFL quarterbacks when given the opportunity.
By now moving to an organization that has a winning history to it, Jones might be one of the key components to push the Ravens back to the .500 mark.
