The Baltimore Ravens have made the playoffs in 12 of the previous 17 seasons under head coach John Harbaugh. The perennial AFC contenders entered the 2025-26 season with sky-high expectations. However, their playoff outlook is now in doubt in what was considered a championship-or-bust campaign.
Baltimore entered Week 16 with a 7-7 record but suffered a crucial loss to the New England Patriots. It has been a disappointing season, but the Ravens still have a path to reach the postseason, especially after their win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 17.
What Are the Baltimore Ravens’ Chances of Making the Playoffs?
It has been a roller-coaster season for the Ravens. Led by two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, Baltimore entered the year as a popular pick to represent the AFC in Super Bowl LX.
According to PFSN’s NFL Playoff Predictor, after their win in Week 17, the Ravens now have an 18.40% chance of reaching the postseason and winning the AFC North. Not only that, but they could get Jackson back on the field for Week 18 after he missed the game against the Packers.
However, if the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Cleveland Browns tomorrow, the Ravens would get eliminated from playoff contention.

The Ravens faced a gauntlet early in the season, with losses to the Bills, Chiefs, Lions, Rams, and Texans. They stumbled into their Week 7 bye at 1-5, with their lone victory coming against the Cleveland Browns.
The injury bug hit the Ravens’ locker room hard early in the year, with setbacks to several key players, including Jackson, Nnamdi Madubuike, and Ar’Darius Washington, who has since returned to the field after tearing his Achilles in the offseason.
Just when hope seemed lost for this season, Baltimore rattled off five straight wins to improve to 6-5, climbing back into the AFC playoff hunt. However, Harbaugh’s squad has hit another rough patch, losing three of the past four games. While the Ravens played better during their winning streak, they may have just taken advantage of a softer schedule, with wins over the Dolphins, Vikings, Browns, and Jets.

It has been a down year for the AFC North, which usually ranks among the NFL’s best divisions. However, because division winners receive an automatic bid into the postseason, the Steelers and Ravens remain alive in the playoff picture.
The loss to New England was a crushing blow, especially considering Baltimore led 24-13 in the fourth quarter. Pittsburgh’s win over the Lions made things tougher for the Ravens, who now need luck on their side to save their season.
The Steelers have an 81.60% chance of winning the AFC North, and they can officially clinch the division title with a win on Sunday. If Pittsburgh loses, then the division will be decided when the Steelers and Ravens meet in Week 18.
Ravens Remaining 2025 Schedule
- Week 18: Ravens at Steelers
The Ravens faced a demanding schedule over the final two weeks of the regular season. Beyond their matchup with the Steelers, Baltimore also faced a potential Super Bowl contender in the Packers, but they came away with a big win.
With every contest carrying significant postseason implications, the Ravens now need luck on their side to stay alive.
Depending on how Week 17 shakes out, the Ravens could either be playing for a postseason berth or pride in the final game of the season.
