Rams Star Puka Nacua’s Bizarre Theory About Concussions Draws Outrage From NFL World

Puka Nacua has been making headlines for the wrong reasons this week, and his comments about concussions are extremely troubling.

Puka Nacua has been making headlines this week, and not just for his play on the field. The star wide receiver appeared on a livestream with Adin Ross, and several questionable moments came out of the session.

Nacua was criticized for doing an offensive celebration during the stream, which many deemed antisemitic. The receiver also criticized NFL refs during the stream, and again after the team’s loss on Thursday. Now, some questionable comments about concussions have Nacua facing criticism again.

Puka Nacua Makes Bizarre Claim About Concussions

During that same stream, Nacua bizarrely claimed that concussions are just “in your head.” “I also believe that concussions are all in your head,” Nacua declared. “You just can’t think about it.”

Even Adin Ross and fellow streamer N3on were surprised by Nacua’s comments. N3on asked Nacua if ACL tears are real, since apparently, concussions aren’t.

“Those ones are pretty real, if you can’t get up and walk, that’s real,” the receiver stated. Naturally, fans were in disbelief that an NFL player could actually think that way. One fan pointed out that Nacua hit his head in the game on Thursday night, and it “would’ve been ironic if he got pulled off the field and diagnosed with a concussion.”

One fan also mentioned that Nacua and Aaron Rodgers “would get along great,” while another questioned whether Nacua had a concussion when making that statement.

Despite the odd behavior from Nacua recently, there’s no denying the receiver has been among the best in the league at his position this season.

So far in 2025, Nacua has 114 catches, 1,592 yards, and eight touchdowns. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the only receiver with more receiving yards. PFSN’s WR Impact ranking gives Nacua an elite 99.6 grade, which is the best mark among all 92 qualified receivers.

The Rams lost to the Seahawks on Thursday night, so the teams will split the season series. The Seahawks now have the lead in the NFC West with two games to play, but both teams have already clinched playoff spots.
