Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua had to leave the Rams’ game against the Indianapolis Colts at SoFi Stadium. Nacua has been a solid downfield option for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford this season.
But he had to leave for a bit as the Rams played in the third quarter.
What Happened to Puka Nacua?
Nacua left the game with a thumb injury and was listed as questionable to return to the game on Sunday.
“Puka Nacua to the locker room with a thumb injury (questionable) on the Rams first possession of the 3Q, per D’Marco Farr on our sideline,” according to Rams reporter J.B. Long.

Nacua returned to the game, though, after being out briefly.
Nacua was over halfway to 200 receiving yards when he left the game. The undisputed best WR in fantasy by a wide margin, there is no replacing him.
Prior to Nacua leaving, Davante Adams had been playing somewhat of a limited role, mostly on the field only on third downs. With the Rams on a short week, it makes sense that the team would protect their 32-year-old WR2.
If Nacua has to miss any games, Adams would elevate to WR1 status. As for who steps up as the other guy in two-receiver sets, it would be either Jordan Whittington or Tutu Atwell. Both would be worth speculative waiver wire adds if Nacua ends up not returning.
