The New England Patriots continued their impressive 2025 NFL season with a victory against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football. The result was encouraging, but injuries to TreVeyon Henderson and Kayshon Boutte could be concerning for their overall outlook.
Both received an update on their statuses as their Week 17 game against the New York Jets approaches.
Will TreVeyon Henderson and Kayshon Boutte Play in Week 17 for Patriots?
The Patriots remain alive for the number-one seed in the AFC as the NFL Playoffs approach. They will likely need to win each of their final two games of the regular season to have still a shot at homefield advantage and a first-round bye. This starts with a favorable matchup against the Jets, but they could be without two of their key offensive players.

On Tuesday at their official practice session for Week 17, head coach Mike Vrabel announced that Henderson and Boutte, as well as Jared Wilson, are currently in the NFL’s concussion protocols.
This means that they will have several hurdles to clear to be available for their game against the Jets, so they should be considered questionable to play at this point.
Henderson has been excellent during his rookie season in New England, providing their offense with explosive upside that they lack in other positions. He currently ranks 14th among all running backs this year in PFSN’s Impact Rankings for this season, which is significantly higher than his replacement, Rhamondre Stevenson, who ranks just 56th.
Boutte has also been a major contributor to their wide receivers, recording the second-most yards behind only Stefon Diggs for MVP-candidate Drake Maye in their passing game. He has primarily served as a serious threat, successfully stretching the field and averaging more than 13 yards per target.
It’s unclear at this point if either of them will be able to clear the concussion protocols in time for their game against the Jets, but their potential absences would be significant.
The Patriots have yet to clinch the AFC East title as they look to hold off the defending division champions, the Buffalo Bills. They also have their sights set on the Denver Broncos, who currently hold the top spot in the conference.
The good news for the Patriots is that they are facing off against one of the worst teams in the NFL this week. The Jets have just a 3-12 record, and their first meeting this year resulted in a blowout victory for New England.
