We are about two weeks away from the NFL draft on April 23 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The NFL draft will be held around the North Shore near Acrisure Stadium and Point State Park from April 23 to 25.
The Seattle Seahawks will pick 32nd in this year’s NFL draft because of being the Super Bowl winners this past season.
Paolo Banchero Reacts to the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl Win
Something that Seattle native and NBA All-Star Paolo Banchero did see happening during the 2025-26 season after the first two games against the San Francisco 49ers, which ended in a four-point loss, and a victory in Week 2 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Banchero shared that he attended both games.
During a recent visit to Dallas to take on Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks, Banchero was asked after Magic morning shootaround to share his thoughts on the Seahawks’ Super Bowl win and celebrating in the 49ers’ home locker room.
“Yeah, I was ecstatic. I mean, I went to the first two games of the season, and I knew they were good, but I’d be lying if I said the vibe, both for me and the fans, felt like we were heading to the Super Bowl,” said Banchero.
“Just watching them throughout the season and seeing their success, you know, I’ve been around training camp and stuff like that, and I know a couple guys on the team, it was just dope to see them on their journey. Then, to put on the kind of show they did in the playoffs was super exciting for my family and me. I haven’t felt that kind of excitement in probably 10–12 years, so that was really special.”
He later added, “And then, winning at the 49ers’ stadium, I think that’s forever one-up. We got to win the championship on their home field, and that’s a rival of ours. We lost to them in pretty dramatic fashion in the first game of the season, so being able to get that get-back meant a lot for the city.”

Of course, Banchero’s comments caused a stir among the rival fanbase.
49ersSportsTalk on X posted that Orlando Magic’s Paolo Banchero talked smack about the 49ers, as a Seahawks fan, after quoting his statement about winning at the 49ers stadium.

Meanwhile, NBCS49ers posted, “Paolo Banchero believes the Seahawks forever have the “one-up” on the 49ers after winning Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium.”
