The Green Bay Packers lost twice on Sunday. The Packers were surprisingly upset by the Carolina Panthers yesterday, and, file this under “in worse news”, tight end Tucker Kraft suffered a season-ending knee injury. Just when things seemed so rosy on the frozen tundra, Kraft will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

What Is the Reaction to the Green Bay Packers Losing Tucker Kraft to Injury?
Fans and analysts agree that the team should make a move at the trade deadline. Time to go to work and land a more-than-serviceable TE to help Jordan Love. Fan GM Kay in the “Up and Adams” show went on to say, “Get on the phone, Adam Peters. Get me a Zach Ertz. Go Get Zach Ertz. They (Washington Commanders) lost, their season is done…”
The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, November 4, at 4 p.m. ET. Yes, that’s tomorrow…. Tick-Tock Packers’ GM Brian Gutekunst.
The Magic Eight Ball says “no” if you ask if Kraft is replaceable. The Packers are gelling; they have talent to spare, but if they are going to make a deep run, this is a crucial stretch of November-December football.

Kraft, who broke out as Love’s top receiving threat this season, has tallied 30 catches, 469 yards, and six touchdowns. He leads Green Bay’s passing game in nearly every statistical category…by far.
Not just for Love, he was arguably the best performing NFL quarterback of the season so far. PFSN’s Tight End Impact gave him a 90.1 impact score, and he was the only player with an A- grade.
Potential Trade Targets and What Happens if There’s No Deal
Given the high usage rate for Packers tight ends and Kraft’s production, the front office could explore trade moves to shore up the position. A few solid veterans should be on the Packers’ radar. Both may welcome an opportunity to make a playoff run in green and gold.
Zach Ertz (Washington Commanders) offers veteran experience and reliable hands. With Commanders QB Jayden Daniels dislocating his elbow and head coach Dan Quinn on the hot seat for having Daniels in the game during a blowout loss, dealing Ertz feels…timely.
Juwan Johnson (New Orleans Saints) has been one bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season for the Saints. While a breakout fantasy player, his stats haven’t translated to wins on the field for the Saints.
The most immediate replacement is former starter Luke Musgrave. Musgrave stepped up when Kraft missed time earlier in the season and showed flashes of potential in a lead role, but consistency and durability remain question marks.
With Kraft headed to injured reserve, Green Bay’s playoff hopes hinge on maintaining offensive balance. Things are definitely worrisome in Cheeseland, but the good news is the injury happened this week, not next. The trade window is open, but act lively, Mr. Gutekunst, fans are counting on you.
