When Pablo Torre revealed on his podcast, Pablo Torre Finds Out, that UNC planned to ban Jordon Hudson, Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, from its football facility, he probably didn’t expect what happened next. What he thought was a breaking news moment quickly turned into a backtrack by the school, leaving fans and followers scratching their heads.
Now, Torre says he’s ready to sue the University of North Carolina if it continues to gatekeep public information, after multiple requests for such information have gone unanswered.
Pablo Torre Ready to Sue UNC Over Public Information Holdout
Known for his tenacious and unrelenting nature when it comes to investigating, Torre has the University of North Carolina firmly in his sights. Torre has made it a mission to get to the bottom of Hudson’s cloudy relationship with Belichick. His research led him to Belichick’s current employers, the University of North Carolina, where his findings caught the attention of the entire football world.
Torre previously revealed that UNC had failed to comply with “dozens of FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests,” suggesting that the university had something to hide. In a recent appearance on “Pro Football Talk,” the journalist revealed that he was ready to sue the school, with the deadline for that information nearing.
“Friday (May 30) is the deadline for our public records requests.”
Asked by his host, Mike Florio, whether he would consider filing a lawsuit if the school continued to hold out past the deadline, Torre responded affirmatively.
“I plan to hold them to account,” Torre said. “These are public records requests. I don’t know why this should be vague or ambiguous. If you’re listening, it’s not like, ‘Show me your emails,’ as if there is no expectation of it. It’s — you get, as part of the pact between a public university and the federal government, you get things in exchange for what feels like a reasonable level of transparency.”
“So we can tell, ‘What is this public money going towards?’ It’s standard operating procedure, and if we don’t — if we feel like they are not obliging their legal obligations, we will certainly pursue avenues to make it so.”
Torre vs. Bill Belichick and UNC – The Story So Far
The journalist’s feud with the university started when he revealed that Hudson would be banned from the university’s football facility. According to Torre, multiple sources had informed him of the decisions made by the school’s “higher-ups.”
Sources tell @PabloTorre that Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, is now banned from UNC’s football facility.
One Belichick family source adds: “There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill’s legacy, reputation — everything… pic.twitter.com/59xQQtqyc0

The post also noted that several members of Belichick’s family were concerned about how his relationship with Hudson would affect his legacy.
UNC quickly denied the report, claiming that Hudson is welcome at the facility. But Torre stood by his reporting, suggesting that the school was saving face. After UNC stated that the reports were false, Torre accused the university of changing its position, saying that the information came “from the highest levels of the football program.”
The fact that those FOIA requests have yet to be satisfied is a bad look for UNC. The school has put on a front, suggesting that there is nothing to hide, but has, so far, kept certain information hidden. Whether legal action is required or not, it certainly feels like there is much more to the story than is currently known.
