Madison Chock joined the recent 2016 trend with her husband and figure skating partner Evan Bates. The duo is heading for their fourth consecutive Winter Olympics as a dancing pair.
Chock and Bates have been winning the US Championships since 2022. The pair won their seventh gold medal in the ice dance category in the recently concluded US National Championships.
Madison Chock Shares Throwback Video As Husband Evan Bates Cheers Her
Chock recently shared a reel of a young version of herself, joined by Bates, on her Instagram account. She cheekily wrote in the caption of the video,
“In 2011, a boy will ask you to be his dance partner. It’s very important that you say yes.”
Bates turned emotional as he added in the comments section,
“Very glad you said yes.”

Chock and Bates’ Overall Record As Ice Dancing Partners
Chock and Bates tasted success at the 2009 Junior World Championships, and since then, they have never looked back. Be it the Grand Prix, the World Team Trophy, the US Championships, or even the senior World Championships, there was literally no tournament where they didn’t succeed except one: the Winter Olympics.
Chock and Bates made their Olympic debut at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. However, they didn’t leave a very great impression and finished eighth overall. While they improved their performances at the World Championships in the following years, they didn’t experience the same success at the Olympics.

However, everything changed for good in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. While they missed out by a whisker in the pairs event, Chock and Bates contributed to the team gold medal, finally adding the coveted Olympic medal to their collection on their third try.
Since then, the dancing pair never looked back. The duo has won three consecutive gold medals in the World Championships, as well as the US National Championships, since 2022. Chock and Bates even contributed to the gold medals for the USA at the World Team Trophy in 2023 and 2025, respectively. The duo is hopeful for adding another Olympic medal to their collection when they compete for the USA at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
