Jordan Chiles Shares a Valuable Message for Parents, Drawing Inspiration From Her Mother and Father

Chiles had suffered from ADHD in her childhood years, making it difficult for her to focus and sit still in traditional classroom settings. Her parents figured that she functioned best if her activities were highly physical. They put her in gymnastics, encouraging her to channel her energy on the mat.

In a recent interview, the 24-year-old addressed the issue of parents trying to limit their children’s expression of energetic behavior. She instead suggested that they find ways to help their children channel that liveliness in meaningful ways. The two-time Olympic medalist also expressed gratitude toward her parents, who never tried to contain her energy.

Chiles made several off‑mat appearances during the Olympic year and in 2025. She debuted as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl, graced the New York Fashion Week red carpet, and became one of the leading faces of Nike, endorsing the brand through her outfits.
