Taylor Landfair’s senior night earned emotional reactions from her Nebraska Volleyball teammates Harper Murray and Laney Choboy.

Taylor Landfair has been a key figure for the Nebraska Volleyball team since arriving in 2024 after transferring from the Minnesota Gophers. The senior played a crucial role in the Huskers’ flawless 30-0 run this season, also hitting a major milestone with the 1500th kill of her collegiate career against Iowa on November 20.

Recently, she recorded four kills during the team’s emotional senior night matchup against Ohio State on November 29,  a night filled with cheers, tears and unforgettable moments. Landfair, Maisie Boesiger, Rebekah Allick, and Allie Sczech received their honors as the crowd joined in the emotional celebration.

Harper Murray and Laney Choboy couldn’t hold back their emotions as they paid tribute to the 2022 Big Ten Player of the Year. Murray’s Instagram story captured the moment perfectly: “I’m crying… @taylorlandfair49 thank you for being you, we are so proud of you, happy senior day 🤍”

Choboy reposted Murray’s Instagram story with her own emotional response, writing: “I’m unwell,” as she reacted to Landfair getting ready to bid goodbye to the program. She followed it up by reposting a senior-night photo of the two, originally shared by Husker Volleyball, with a sweet message on her story: “I’m gonna miss you roomie!!!!”

It is worth noting that Landfair used her remaining year of NCAA eligibility to return to the Nebraska program for her final season, announcing her decision via Instagram in December 2024, shortly after the Huskers’ narrow miss of the NCAA Championship finals.

During her first year with the Huskers in 2024, Taylor impressed, playing 33 matches and averaging 2.49 kills per set, along with 50 blocks and 44 digs.

Landfair Pens Touching Note for Husker Fans Ahead of Senior Night

Landfair shared a heartfelt message for Nebraska’s volleyball fans, saying she felt “beyond blessed” to wear “Nebraska” across her chest over the past two years. She described playing at the Bob Devaney Sports Center as a truly surreal, dreamlike experience.

Ahead of Nebraska’s senior night, she penned a sincere note for the Husker fans and everyone who had a contribution in her journey, adding: “The second I got onto campus, everyone welcomed me with open arms, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the endless love and support! Husker Nation, thank you for everything you’ve done for me; you have made my experience here so special!”

A three-time AVCA All-Region selection (2020–21, 2022, 2023), Landfair then turned her attention to the bonds she formed with her teammates, the laughter, the friendships, and the memories she’ll carry with her long after the season.

She concluded her note by expressing gratitude to the coaches and support staff for believing in her, and to her family for their sacrifices, encouragement, and constant presence in the stands.
