Andi Jackson has been a major driving force behind Nebraska Volleyball’s remarkable run this season, playing a key role in the Huskers’ third straight Big Ten title. Last week, she continued her strong form, opening with ten kills and three blocks in the sweep over Iowa, followed by nine kills and four blocks against Indiana.
While she remains a force for the Huskers volleyball program, she has also been a great support system for her family.
Nebraska Volleyball Player Andi Jackson Shares Excitement Over Sister’s All-State Recognition
Jackson’s sister, Codi, was recently recognized by the Colorado High School Activities Association with a 5A All-State Honorable Mention for the 2025 season. Proud of her daughter’s accomplishment, their mother Heidi celebrated the moment on Instagram, sharing a story that read: “CO 5A All State Honourable Mention Congrats Codi! @codijackson ❤️”
The Nebraska star later reposted it on her Instagram story, hyping up her sister’s achievement, with the caption: “You slay @codijackson”

Besides Codi, she has two more siblings – Deni and Oakley. Deni attended Arizona Christian University, beginning her freshman year in 2021.
The 20-year-old Andi also earned a Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor on October 20, following Nebraska’s wins over Michigan State and Michigan the previous week. The team has continued its unbeaten run this season under first-year head coach Dani Busboom Kelly, who took charge in 2025.
Jackson Reflects on Nebraska Coach Kelly’s ‘Awesome’ Personality
Andi couldn’t help but rave about what makes Coach Dani Busboom Kelly so special. She shared that Kelly isn’t just a coach; she’s “just a girl,” someone who truly gets the team because she’s been in their shoes as a former Nebraska player.
According to Jackson, Kelly brings the perfect mix of competitiveness and fun. The Nebraska junior added, “She knows what it takes, and I respect her so much for who she is, everything that she does. And she knows the game, and she’s competitive, but at the same time, she can have fun.”
“Our practices are so competitive, but you never leave feeling like you didn’t get better. Even if you didn’t perform that well that day, you still leave feeling fulfilled because you had fun with your teammates and coaches,” she added, highlighting how Kelly creates a balanced environment that makes her a truly impactful leader.
This balance shows not only in Nebraska’s dominant performances but also in how much the players enjoy themselves off the court, like attending Tate McRae’s concert at the CHI Health Center one night and coming back the next day to sweep Washington 3-0.
