After Fred Kerley, Another US World Championship Medalist Joins Controversial Enhanced Games

All you need to know about ex World Championship medalist athlete who joins Fred Kerley as he signs up for Enhance Games

Another athlete has followed Fred Kerley towards the controversial Enhanced Games. Former World Championship medalist Marvin Bracey-Williams has signed up for the upcoming Enhanced Games.

Bracey-Williams hasn’t participated in an athletic event since September 2023. The USADA authorities have suspended the athlete for anti-doping violations until November 2027.

All about Enhanced Games And the Latest Entrant Marvin Bracy-Williams

According to recent media reports, Marvin Bracy-Williams will be following in the footsteps of Fred Kerley, as he has officially signed up for the Enhanced Games, which are set to commence in May 2026 in Las Vegas.

Bracy-Williams had won the silver medal as a part of the US 4x100m relay team at the 2022 World Championships. The athlete has a personal best of 9.85 seconds, recorded at the Ed Murphey Classic in 2021.

For the uninitiated, Enhanced Games is a one-of-a-kind event, where there shall be no restrictions on the participating athletes, especially in terms of drug testing. Anybody who is capable of running can participate in the Enhanced Games.

However, this event has divided the track and field world. Some support this initiative, while others are critical of this move, thanks to its alleged promotion of athletes who have been involved in substance abuse, including but not limited to Kerley.

Most of the athletic associations have disassociated themselves from this event, warning of punitive action against athletes participating in it.

Kerley’s Controversial Track Record Before Enhanced Games

While Kerley might be under the radar of controversy for his decision to participate in the Enhanced Games, this isn’t the first time the sprinter has faced criticism for his decisions, both off and on the track.

Only days ago, the Olympic medalist sprinter got into an argument with Kenyan sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala, who accused him of not leaving a proper legacy as an athlete. Luckily, Kerley responded politely, wondering if the Kenyan was even serious about his allegations.

However, in 2025, the American sprinter gained less limelight for his achievements on the track and more for his controversies off the field. Kerley was arrested multiple times last year. He was first detained in January 2025 in Miami for an altercation with the local police over his parked vehicle.

Kerley was later arrested in another incident, just days before his Grand Slam Track meet in Miami, in May 2025. He was also involved in a domestic violence case in early 2024, for which he faced trial.
