The New York Giants and former All-Pro wideout Odell Beckham Jr. could be on the verge of crossing paths again.
Beckham was at the team’s facility on Monday to participate in a workout and undergo a physical to assess his condition. Beckham, who will turn 34 years old in November, hasn’t played in a game since 2024.
‘Full Circle Moment’ For Giants, Odell Beckham Jr.
Two days after trading star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals for the No. 10 overall pick in this week’s draft, the Giants remain in the headlines. They could be leaning toward signing Beckham to a contract, 12 years after they spent the No. 12 overall pick on him in 2014.

Nikki Gist, who co-hosts the ‘Between The Uprights’ podcast, noted an intriguing correlation.
“A full circle moment when you factor in that the Giants drafted Dex with the pick they got from Cleveland for OBJ,” she wrote on X. “I’m indifferent to a reunion. If they think he can help & it’s a team friendly deal ok. But if he can’t let’s not force something that isn’t there.”
They’d essentially be “undoing” that 2019 trade, as one user noted on X.
Undoing the 2019 trade in 2026 would be pretty funny https://t.co/2auce4RQxx

Beckham’s stint with the Browns lasted less than three seasons after he was released midway through the 2021 campaign. Days later, the Los Angeles Rams signed Beckham to a one-year deal, and he would go on to become an imperative piece of their offense en route to a Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
He scored a touchdown in five of the eight regular-season games he played for the Rams, totaling 27 receptions for 305 yards and 5 touchdowns in that span.
He accounted for 21 receptions for 288 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Rams’ four postseason contests, including a 17-yard score in the Super Bowl before sustaining a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The injury would keep him shelved for the entire following season.
Beckham has since spent time with the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins. He has not played in a game since being released by the Dolphins in December 2024.

Giants fans appear to be elated at the prospect of a reunion between both parties. The regime that drafted Beckham wasn’t the same one that traded him, and the regime that traded him no longer exists. Anything is possible under general manager Joe Schoen, who will now be entering his fifth season at the helm.

Others had to double-check the news about Beckham to make sure they weren’t being scammed by a parody account.

At the moment, “nothing is happening,” according to Connor Hughes, who covers the Giants and New York Jets. If the Giants were to sign Beckham, it would be a post-draft addition.
Adding on to what Ryan has reported here, per sources.
Odell Beckham Jr. worked out for the #Giants this morning & is now taking a physical.
I am told “nothing is happening right now,” per source. So no signing imminent.
This would be a post-draft addition, if it happens. https://t.co/XELSgcXxP0

Whether Beckham can still keep up with the fast, young corners in today’s league remains to be seen.

The Giants’ offense ranked No. 24 in the league in PFSN’s Offense Impact Metric with an impact score of 70.7 last season, but that was due in large part to a year that was marred by injuries.
Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was in and out of the lineup with injuries, first-round receiver Malik Nabers sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament in just his fourth game of his sophomore season, and another rookie, running back Cam Skattebo, suffered a ghastly dislocated ankle that ended his season.
