A return to the NFL is still very much on Odell Beckham Jr.’s mind, and the idea of where it could happen is already out there. During a recent interview, Kay Adams brought up a potential pairing that quickly turned into a real conversation. The scenario connected Beckham to his NFL origins and a young quarterback.
Odell Beckham Jr. Says He Would Love to Play With Jaxson Dart
During an appearance with Adams, Beckham spoke about his desire to get back on the field in 2026. Adams floated the idea of him playing with New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, and Beckham leaned into it.

“Looking forward to hopefully getting the opportunity to play this year, and this is kind of just the starting point,” Beckham said. “If that opportunity presents itself, I would love to do that and be excited about that.”
He also shared what stands out to him about Dart. “He’s a good dude. He’s young, he like to dance. He like that. I like all that. So he looks like he’s having fun.”
Dart showed real promise during his rookie season and gave the Giants reason to believe he can be their long-term answer at quarterback. In 14 games, he completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns. He was effective on the ground, adding 487 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns on 86 carries.
That production translated to a strong analytical showing, as he ranked 18th in PFSN’s Quarterback Impact Metric with a 76.5 score and a C grade, placing him ahead of established veterans like Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield, and Tua Tagovailoa. When asked about his health, Beckham nodded and flexed, expressing that he feels ready to return.
The Giants are far from the same team Beckham left. The Giants went 4-13 last season and are in the middle of another full reset. The organization moved on from its previous coaching staff and brought in John Harbaugh to lead the next phase.

Dart is now at the center of that plan. The former first-round pick was a standout during his rookie season, but the team struggled to close games and is now picking No. 5 overall. Building around Dart is all that matters now, and that approach has shown up across multiple moves.
The Giants have explored adding playmakers, looked into upgrades at running back, and continue to evaluate the receiver room as they try to give Dart more support. Beckham would not be stepping into the same role he once had. He is far from the No. 1 receiver he was a decade ago, but his experience and familiarity with the franchise could still help a young offense.
At the same time, a rebuilding team may hesitate to bring in a high-profile veteran like Beckham. His production in the Giants set the standard; over five seasons, he totaled 5,476 receiving yards and 44 touchdowns. He was a face of the NFL and became an overnight superstar for his famous one-handed catch on Sunday Night Football.
Nothing is close at this point. The interest is clear, though. Beckham wants another shot, and if the opportunity lines up, a return to the Giants is something he would embrace.
