Brad Marchand’s family vacation photos show a different side of the Stanley Cup champion. While fans know him as the gritty winger who helped deliver Florida’s second consecutive championship, his wife Katrina’s Instagram stories reveal a dad who’s all about family time during the offseason.
How Is Brad Marchand Spending His Championship Offseason?
The Florida Panthers are riding high after dealing the Edmonton Oilers their second consecutive defeat in the Stanley Cup Finals. To keep the championship roster together, Panthers GM Bill Zito pulled off the feat by re-signing Sam Bennett, Aaron Ekblad, and Brad Marchand.
Marchand’s performance on the ice during the Cup finals left everyone speechless. Traded by the Boston Bruins at the trade deadline, Marchand was crucial to the team’s double overtime win in Game 2. His second goal evened the series and proved instrumental to the Cup victory.
At 37, Marchand captured his second Stanley Cup with the Panthers. His first championship came with the Bruins in 2011.
Following the victory and his extended stay in Florida, Marchand is making the most of his offseason break.
What Do Marchand’s Italy Photos Show About His Family Life?
Marchand’s wife, Katrina Marchand, shared wholesome pictures and videos of the family enjoying themselves in Italy.
Staying true to himself, Marchand could be seen pulling off a hilarious pose with his daughter in one of the stories and snoozing during a car ride in another.

The family traveled to Italy to attend the wedding of Marchand’s sister, Rebecca Marchand. In one of her stories, Katrina posted a scenic picture of Orvieto, a city in Italy, and tagged Rebecca Marchand with the caption, “Let the wedding festivities begin.”
After a successful season, the 37-year-old has dedicated his offseason to quality time with his family.
Marchand could be seen having the best time with his wife and kids in Rome. This shows that despite his reputation on the rink, he is a dad who is loved by his children. Ahead of Stanley Cup Game 6, Marchand’s kids had shared a sweet voice note for the 37-year-old, expressing their unconditional love for their father.
“It’s been so awesome to watch you over my whole childhood and growing up, and seeing the man you’ve become, and all that you’ve done,” said Marchand’s son, Sloane, in the voice note. Sawyer, Marchand’s daughter, reassured her father of their love and pride for him.
“No matter what happens in the game, we’re still proud of you. You’ve still got us, and we’ve got you.”
Fueled by his family’s love, Marchand went on to lift the cup with the rest of the team, marking the Panthers’ second consecutive victory. He has also etched his name in history with his performance against the Oilers in the Final.
At 37, he became the oldest player to score in the first three games of the final, bettering the record held by Frank Mahovlich. Mahovlich achieved a similar feat in 1973 with the Montreal Canadiens and was two years younger than Marchand at the time.
Marchand has proven himself to be an essential part of the team. The center is locked in for six years with the Panthers on a $31.5 million contract with a $5.25 million cap hit.
