NFL World Reacts to Rams Star Davante Adams Being Invisible in First Half vs. Bears: ‘What Is Going On With Him?’

Rams WR Davante Adams was a no-show in the first half against the Bears, which led to the people on social media offering their thoughts.

While the Los Angeles Rams finished up the first half of Sunday night’s NFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Chicago Bears at snowy, cold Soldier Field, wide receiver Davante Adams was a no-show.

Even with the game in the third quarter, with the Rams and Bears tied at 10-10, Adams does not even have a reception. As the NFL world watched the game, a few people had some thoughts on the star wideout’s less-than-stellar performance.

NFL World Shares Reactions to Rams WR Davante Adams

Underdog NFL’s account on X had a pretty wicked comment, along with an image to go with it, about Adams’ performance at halftime.

Underdog NFL’s account posted, “Davante Adams receiving at halftime: 0-0-0”, along with an image of former NBA player Tony Snell.

Another user, Dov Kleiman, had another interesting insight into what Adams did in that first half. Kleiman made it clear that Adams had a bunch of zeroes across the board. Kleiman posted on X, “Davante Adams receiving at halftime: • 0 catches • 0 yards • 0 TDs What is going on with him??”

Henry McKenna, who covers the NFL for Fox Sports, posted on X, “Here’s the surprise of the game so far for me: Davante Adams at halftime: 0 catches 2 targets Puka Nacua at half: 3 catches 6 targets 27 yards”.

Pikkit’xs X account gave a pretty accurate, humorous description of what Adams did in the first half. The account posted, “Davante Adams is currently on pace to have as many receiving yards as you and me”.

Josh Frydman, who covers sports for Chicago’s WGN News, offered his insights on what he saw Adams do in the first half. Frydman posted on X, “Holding Puka and Davante to 3 catches and 27 yards in the 1st half (all from Nacua) is not something I thought this Bears D could do. Incredible job after that opening Rams drive.”

If the Rams are going to go ahead and take a lead and, eventually, win the game, then Adams, who only has three targets from Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in the game, will need to pick it up.

According to PFSN’s WR Impact Metric, Adams is ranked as the 52nd-best receiver in the league, but he did score 14 touchdowns in as many games during the regular season.
